Big White Pines Dairy Goats
(Still under construction - please check in later for a complete listing)
Sienna is 6 years old and has been Big White Pines' foundation doe for the past 3-1/2 years. She's given us triplets twice, a set of quadruplets and even a set of quintuplets once. (pictured) Sienna comes from the Rosasharn and Antiquity Oaks line known for their great milking and parasite resistant genetics. She has three different National Champion Winners and Superior Genetics in her bloodlines a few generations back.
Sienna is an excellent mama. She kids easily without complications and feeds her kids well, although we did assist her by bottle feeding a buckling when she had her quints (5). She produces beautiful, healthy kids. Over the years, we have retained 3 of Sienna's does to pass on her genetics. They have continued to produce quality kids just like their dam.
So, with all the great things I've mentioned about Sienna, WHY am I selling her?
1) We are drastically downsizing our herd.
2) Sienna is a horned goat. She was our very first goat and is our ONLY horned goat. She has an unfair advantage over our other does when they spar for their places in our herd. Sienna would do well in a herd with other horned goats. She has never displayed aggression towards us.
3) Sienna is not easily coaxed onto the milk stand. She is a SWEET mama goat, but, as her name suggests, she can be SASSY on the milk stand if you do not finish the job before her grain runs out. When it comes to milk sharing, she definitely favors saving her milk for her kids I've often thought it would be easier to think of her as a gorgeous goat kid producer and let other does in our herd provide us milk instead.
Sienna is still "in milk", but this season's triplets are selling and being weaned off. She's down to feeding just one now.
Even at 6 years old, she has several more years to provide your family with your own little goat kids... (and milk if you have more patience than I.) Nigerian Dwarf Goat milk is rich in butterfat, tastes delicious and is easy to digest for even infants.
We are asking $250, but will consider all reasonable offers from those able to provide an appropriate home for our SWEET N SASSY little girl.

Sophie Jane (on left) - Purebred Nigerian Dwarf (no papers) $100
6 year old Sophie was purchased without papers, as a companion goat for Sienna. We believe her to be purebred. We bred her in her 4th year and she gave us these golden triplets. She put a lot of rich milk into our pail which was just what we wanted from this pretty little doe. Sophie is easy going and loves to eat , leaving her on the "overly conditioned" side, which unfortunately often makes them more difficult to settle. We've not attempted to breed her again. She is a wonderful companion goat.
